Arrival & Acclimatization - Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). A driver will transfer you (approx. 45-minute drive) to your hotel, sitting at the foothills of Mount Meru. Spend the day resting and adjusting to the time zone. Overnight: Mount Meru Hotel.

City Exploration & Preparation - Arusha
Enjoy a relaxed morning by the outdoor pool. In the afternoon, you can book a local walking safari at the nearby Arusha National Park, or visit the Cultural Heritage Centre and local markets for souvenirs. Overnight: Mount Meru Hotel.

Journey to the Elephants - Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you will depart Arusha in your 4x4 for a 2.5-hour drive to Tarangire. Enjoy an afternoon game drive as you search for the park's famous tree-climbing lions and massive herds of elephants. Overnight: Tarangire Sopa Safari Lodge.

Full Day in Tarangire
Spend a full day exploring. Take in the dramatic scenery defined by giant baobab trees and the winding Tarangire River. Return to the lodge for a spectacular sunset and evening campfire. Overnight: Tarangire Sopa Safari Lodge.

The Rift Valley & The Highlands - Karatu / Ngorongoro Area
Leave Tarangire in the morning and drive (approx. 2 to 3 hours) to the agricultural and coffee-producing town of Karatu, located in the lush Ngorongoro Highlands. Spend the afternoon relaxing on your private veranda overlooking the valley. Overnight: Marera Valley Lodge.

Ngorongoro Crater Expedition
Depart early (around 6:30 AM) to descend to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a natural enclosure for thousands of animals, including the rare black rhino. Return to your lodge in Karatu for a cozy evening by the fire. Overnight: Marera Valley Lodge.

Head into the Endless Plains - Serengeti National Park (Central)
Travel from Karatu through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and enter the Serengeti. Enjoy an en-route game drive as you make your way to Baobab Camp. The evening will be spent listening to the distant roars of lions in the heart of the bush. Overnight: Baobab Central Serengeti Camp.

Departure - Serengeti to Arusha
Enjoy a final sunrise game drive over the savannah. You will then head to the nearby Seronera Airstrip for a domestic flight back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you will connect with your international departure flight.
